Church Rd, Burnham-on-Crouch CM0 8DA, UK – 01621 782071
There was a church on this site in 1155 but the earliest remaining feature is the font from the C12th. It has suffered major storm damage in 1702 and in 1775 a major fire destroyed the roof and all the furnishings then in 1779 the spire was blown down. Fine old doors in the porch were built with the porch in 1523. The church his normally open and well worth a visit.
Station Rd, Southminster CM10 7EW, UK – 01621 772300
C13th but not the prettiest externally though has some very nice carvings to the pulpit and the grand organ. A former vicar Rev. Alexander Scott was chaplain on 'Victory' at the Battle of Trafalgar when and was with him when Lord Nelson died and as such there are relics in the church.
